一例一休上路導致人力需求大增，中油公司今( 2017 )年擴大招募新人規模，總計 1388 人，幾乎是去年的兩倍， 11 月 1 日至 11 月 15 日開放報名。由於中油招考爆發舞弊事件引發軒然大波，今年首度以公開招標方式選擇承辦單位，並增加非選擇題以及電子舞弊偵防措施。
中油招考新進僱用人員簡章正式上線，共招募 1388 人，其中一般名額 1198 名、睦鄰名額 190 名，類別包含煉製、機械、儀電、電氣、電機、土木、安環、公用事業輸氣、油料操作、航空加油、油罐汽車駕駛員、探採鑽井、事務、消防、加油站儲備幹部及車輛修護共 17 類，一般加睦鄰以煉製類399 名最多，其次是油料操作類280 人。
受一例一休新制導致人力需求大增，今年招考名額幾乎是去年的兩倍， 11 月 1 日到 15 日報名， 12 月 23 日筆試。為防止舞弊事件再度發生，中油今年首度採取公開招標方式，由松盟科技承辦，考題也新增非選擇題，考生必須繳交近2個月照片，同時加強電子舞弊偵防措施。
簡章並明訂，如有冒名頂替、偽造或變造應考相關證件、以詐術或其他不正當方法，使考試發生不正確結果者，考試時發現立即扣考；於進用前發現不予進用；進用後發現者，立即終止勞動契約，5年內不得報考中油公司。
而在通過筆試後，還必須闖過複試考驗，包括在 15 秒內負重 30 公斤跑完 50 公尺； 90 秒內爬高 20 公尺後靜止 10 秒往下看，證明無懼高症； 15 秒內手持9公斤左右滅火器跑 50 公尺等。

而在錄取後，訓練期間比照評價4等1級支薪(月薪 23,625 元)，正式僱用後按規定支給評價5等1級薪給(月薪 27,000 元)。

美國達美航空(Delta Air Lines)波音747-400客機將在今年底退出客運市場，12月17日南韓首爾飛底特律航班將是達美航空747客機最後一趟執飛任務，成為繼聯合航空(United Airlines)之後，將波音747退役的另一家美國航空公司。
達美航空 747-400客機29日最後一次執飛上海浦東機場至底特律的航班，結束了達美(包含美國西北航空) 747飛航中國大陸的飛行服務。這趟飛行任務的客機的機齡已達27年。今(30)日，達美747-400客機最後一次執飛東京成田機場往底特律，12月17日最後一次執飛首爾仁川機場往底特律任務後，達美航空的747機隊將全退出客運市場。
美國聯合航空747客機國際線首航為1983年。聯合航空已預計在年底前將747客機退出營運，10月27日747執飛倫敦希斯洛和法蘭克福，飛往舊金山的航班後，聯航747最後國際航班為30日首爾飛舊金山航班。747國內線最後執飛航班為11月17日舊金山飛夏威夷UA747班機。屆時聯合航空將舉辦告別儀式。
在30日完成最後一趟國際航班後，聯合航空將拍賣許多747客機上相關物品，包括飛行速度儀、壓力計、印有飛機註冊編號的標示等。
波音747客機有「巨無霸客機」（Jumbo Jet）、「空中女王」（Queen of the Skies）的暱稱。截至2017年2月，已生產1500多架。航空公司過去認為，四發動機飛機比雙發動機來得安全，不過隨著航空技術成熟，雙發動機客機的安全性已不輸四發動機，加上節省油料費用支出考量，航空公司不約而同捨棄四發動機大客機，改買雙發動機噴射機。
747不獲航空公司喜愛，導致製造商波音公司訂單銳減，自2016年9月起，平均2個月才生產一架。如果情況沒有改善，波音考慮在2020年停產波音747客機。
在長榮航空8月將747客機退役後，我國籍航空僅剩中華航空還有747客機執飛，目前華航有24架747-400飛機，包括6架客機與18架貨機。
